British police have arrested a man in connection with Monday night’s bomb attack on a Manchester arena which claimed the lives of 22 people including children and injuring 60 others who were attending a concert by American pop star Ariana Grande.

British Prime Minister Theresa May  condemned the attack, terming it a callous, warped and twisted act saying the incident was one of the worst acts of terrorism ever witnessed in the united since the 2005 London bombings.

President Uhuru Kenyatta  who held talks with the British Prime Minister last week sent a message of condolence to the British government and its people as  Kenyan police stepped up their surveillance following the attack which has been claimed by Syrian based ISIS terror group.

First Lady Margaret Kenyatta Tuesday led  Kenyans in  commemorating the international day  to end Fistula in a bid to create awareness over the medical condition which has over the years robbed  thousands of women  of their dignity.
The event was commemorated alongside the international  conference on reproductive  health  convened by the ministry of health in conjunction with other stockholders to address the challenges faced combating the condition.

IEBC holds pre-nomination meetings with candidates ahead of August polls

The Independent Electoral  and Boundaries Commission -IEBC  has warned  presidential hopefuls for the August 8th polls to stick to the law in the coming presidential nominations  just five days away or risk being locked out.
IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati issued the warning after a meeting with presidential aspirants majority of them independents who   raised issues with the requirement to provide a list of 2,000 supporters, which independent candidates say is discriminatory.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and his opposition rival Raila Odinga  did not attend the meeting  but sent their representatives.

They say beauty  belongs to the eyes of the beholder- and its no wonder that  lotions, perfumes, hair care products and other cosmetics are a must have commodity for many Kenyans today.
According to a 2011 research by euro-monitor international,  the  beauty industry is estimated to be worth 2.6 billion shillings.
Findings from the study indicate that most women are obsessed with the physical perfection  they  hope to derive from the beauty  products they use.
