Kiraithe: Meru-Tharaka Nithi border dispute to be resolved amicably

Government spokesman Eric Kiraithe says the boundary dispute between Meru and Tharaka-Nithi counties will be resolved amicably and ruled out use of execessive force.

 Speaking in Maara, Kiraithe blamed politicians for perpetrating the feud for political expediency.

Engineer nabbed by EACC following funds misappropriation complains

An engineer from Eldoret town has been nabbed by the EACC police following complains of misappropriation of funds in Nandi county.
The engineer, Alex Buingut who is the chief officer of roads in Nandi county was arrested at his home on Friday 19 TH. With the EACC officers  recovering over 5.7 million cash in his home, printers and letter heads belonging to the county government.

The two were caught while they tried to steal from a middle aged man in the city

Former president Kibaki’s aide threatens to decamp from Jubilee

Former president Mwai Kibaki’s aide  Geoffrey King’ang’i  who won the Mbeere South constituency seat during the just concluded Jubilee nominations has threatened  to decamp from Jubilee party claiming that though he won, the process was wanting.
Kingangi has now called on the party leadership to ensure they address the grievances of the various candidates.

Residents ask Kenha to erect guard rails to curb accidents

Residents of Murang’a have petitioned the Kenya national highway authority, Kenha and the Kenya rural roads authority, Kerra to urgently erect guard rails along bridges along the highways to curb the rising number of accidents.
The residents have blamed the rising number of accidents on the absence  guardrails with some drivers being forced to use alternative routes due to unprotected bridges.
